PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an excellent image by adjusting a traveling frame so as to become in parallel with an image forming part without using a large-scale jig or the like. SOLUTION: By this mechanism and an adjusting method thereof, a second frame 3 on which an exposure scanning unit is loaded is made to travel back and forth on a traveling rail by respectively pulling pulleys 17 and 17 freely rotatably fitted to the both end parts of the frame 3 in the traveling direction of the frame 3 by using wires 5a and 5b. In this case, by making the fitting position of at least one out of the pulleys 17 and 17 possible to be adjusted in the pulling direction of the wires 5a and 5b on the frame 3, the traveling frame is adjusted so as to become in parallel with the image forming part without using a large-scale jig or the like. Thus, the excellent image is obtained.
