摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an induction motor efficiently cooling a stator as a whole by introducing a cooling structure in which temperature rise of the internal circumference of a stator is controlled effectively and the temperature rise of the external circumference of the stator is also efficiently controlled. SOLUTION: This induction motor comprises a frame 1, a stator including a stator iron core 2 fixed at the internal wall surface of this frame 1 and stator coils 3 arranged in a plurality of slots 4, formed extending in the axial line direction at the inner circumferential part of the stator iron core 2, a shaft 6 arranged extending along the center axial line of the frame 1 and a rotor including the rotor iron core 5 fixed to this shaft 6. At the outer circumferential part of the stator iron core 2, a first air passing groove 21 is provided to cool the stator iron core 2 which is formed extending in the axial line direction at the external circumference of the stator iron core 2.
