PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cable adaptor device that is used to connect a public telephone line to a portable information terminal such as an electronic notebook and is excellent in portability and ease of use. SOLUTION: Curled electric cables 2, 6 are removably housed in a device body 10 and a head cap 22, respectively and the device body 10 and the head cap 22 are removably fitted onto an intermediate cap 21 in which a male-female conversion connector 30 with modular plugs 4, 8 connected to it is received. Stopper parts on which pawl parts 3b, 7b are so abutted, when modular plugs 3, 7 are inserted into the openings of the device body 10 and the head cap 22, as to stop insertion of them are formed on the inside surfaces of the openings.
