PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide memory disk capable of reducing the wear of a head slider at the time when the memory disk is used in a memory disk device. SOLUTION: The magnetic disk is provided with a lubricating layer 6 substantially consisting of only a bonding layer 11 having no flowability at the time of rotational operation of the disk. Or, more than 90% of the lubricating layer 6 of the magnetic disk is occupied by the bonding layer 11 having no flowability at the time of rotational operation of the disk. In such a magnetic disk, the process for forming the lubricating layer 6 consists of the process such as applying a lubricant against a magnetic disk, substrate whereon a carbon protective film 5 is formed, and processing for suction so that the lubricant is combined with the magnetic disk substrate, then removing a free layer 12 having the flowability at the time of rotational operation of the disk from the lubricating layer 6 of the magnetic disk substrate.
