The hinge (4) is carried on an arm that extends horizontally from the front of the appliance cabinet. A vertical pin at the end of the arm co-operates with one of two hinge socket (11) that fit in the top and bottom of the door (21). The hinge socket (11) has a body (13) with a rectangular bracket (14) inserted vertically in a square opening (17) in the edge of the door. A flat plate (15) is attached to the sockets, and when assembled lies flat on the edge of the door. The plate has a hole (24) for a screw to fixes it to the door, and has two holes (30) giving access to two tubular sockets (31) beneath the plate. The sockets fit into the opening (17) in the edge of the door, and are fitted over the pin at the end of the hinge arm, with one or the other being used depending on door opening. |
