PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform paginating at positions where paginating positions are symmetric with respect to a center axis and to perform paginating at the natural position by generating an image to which pagination is applied at a designated position for 1st and 2nd manuscript images and forming it on a medium to be image-formed. SOLUTION: Manuscript image data read by a scanner part 4 is transferred to a page memory 98. In the case of designating the synthesis of a character such as applying the pagination and adding character data to a manuscript image, image synthesis is realized by writing font data stored in a ROM 99 in the page memory 98 by a page memory control part 97 via a system bus in a state where the manuscript image is stored in the page memory 98. For example, when a user designates center-folding/filing copying and paginating and designates the selection part of a display part 84, the pagination is applied to upper outside, upper center, upper inside, lower outside, lower center and lower inside positions for right and left images divided by the center line of copying paper. |
