PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a header for heat exchanger in which the number of parts and the labor for work can be reduced while regulating insertion of each heat exchanging tube accurately and the effective front area and pressure resistance can be ensured sufficiently at the core section. SOLUTION: The header for heat exchanger comprises a flat tubular header 10 including a header body 20 and a header plate 30, and a reinforcing member 100 having U-shaped continuous cross-section interposed between the back wall 21 of the header body 20 and the plate body 31 of the header plate 30. The header plate 30 is provided with tube insertion holes 34 and the reinforcing member 100 is provided with cut steps 105 corresponding with the holes 34. A tube 40 is inserted into the tube insertion hole 34 and the insertion end part of the tube 40 is received in the cut step 105 of the reinforcing member 100. Each member 10, 40, 100 is then brazed under a state where insertion of the tube 40 is regulated. |
