PURPOSE: A media used for electrolyzing emulsion containing wastewater is provided which makes possible to separate and remove emulsions from wastewater efficiently by using the electrodes filled with the media in electrolysis. CONSTITUTION: The media used for electrolysis comprises 30¯70wt.% of at least one metal selected from the group consisting of aluminium, zinc and iron, and 30¯70wt.% of activated charcoal, preferably it is formed by mixing equal amount of aluminium and ground activated charcoal, and adding a methyl acetate binding agent. The media makes possible to separate emulsion efficiently by facilitating the release of metal ion and the hydroxylation reaction with hydroxyl group.
