The dental material container (10.1) comprises a waterproof main case (12) with a top covering hinged lid (14) and ceramic body (16). The top has many spherical depressions (18) which have no glass coated surfaces. A spongy body collects water, and the ceramic body has a recess (20) for water to pass through. The lid has a right angled outer contour and the inner sponge is slightly smaller than the main body.
