PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the heat generation and the power consumption of a solenoid when a door is locked by the solenoid. SOLUTION: This device is provided with a door 25 freely opened and closed so as to cover a film set part and a lock lever 28 locking the door 25 set in a closed state. Then, the lever 28 is displaced between a lock position and a lock release position by a planger 42 of a latch solenoid 29. When a photographic film is developed, the solenoid 29 is excited so as displace the lever 28 to the lock position from the lock release position. When the developing of the film is finished, the door 25 is set at the lock release position so that the new film can be set. Since the position of the planger can be alternately switched by exciting the solenoid 29 once, the solenoid 29 is not excited usually. Thus, the heat generation and the power consumption are suppressed.
