<p>Power and control pistons for hydraulic equipment can be protected against rapid wear, if they are made of a zinc alloy, by a thin coating of copper or nickel, deposited by galvanic means. Tests have shown an optimum performance if a copper coating is given a thickness of 1 micron and a nickel coating a thickness of 10 micron.</p> |
