PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enable the discrimination of disk cartridges for different disks of approximately the same diameter by forming first cutback parts on only the one side of two ends in a sliding direction of a first shutter on a first orthogonal surface along which the first shutter slides. SOLUTION: Cases 2 and 3 are provided with the cutback parts 20a, 20b so as to exist point symmetrically at the orthogonal surfaces on the front edge side in the insertion direction thereof. Projecting parts 210a are fitted corresponding thereto. These cutback parts 20 are merely necessitated to be point symmetrical and if the disk is one side recording, only the one side corresponding to the recording surface of these cutback parts 20a, 20b is formed, by which the discrimination from both side recording and further the assignment as to the surface of which side is the recording surface are made possible. The combinations of the cutback parts and the projecting parts may be replaced with all detecting means if the arrangement relations thereof are so constituted as to be made point symmetrical at the orthogonal surfaces on the front edge side. |
