PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a phosphoric acid fuel cell power generation set which ensures the rated operation continuously without generation of inconvenience even in a case where the concentration of hydrocarbons contained in a crude fuel gas varies. SOLUTION: A phosphoric acid fuel cell power generation set is equipped with a reformer 20 to produce a reformed gas by heating a crude fuel gas and reforming with the aid of a catalyst filling the inside, a CO transformer 21 to convert carbon monoxide contained in the reformed gas into hydrogen through denaturing reaction, and a fuel cell stack 22 to perform power generation through reactions of the hydrogen in the reformed gas supplied from the CO transformer 21 with the oxygen contained in the air, wherein the configuration further includes an oxygen concentration sensor 28 to sense the oxygen concentration in the combusted exhaust gas from the reformer and a crude fuel gas rate-of-flow regulating means 31 to regulate the rate of flow of the crude fuel gas by calculating the total calorific value of the crude fuel gas from the obtained oxygen concentration and calculating thereupon the rate of flow of the crude fuel gas suitable for the operation from the total calorific value. |
