摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrophotographic photoreceptor having extremely excellent wear resistance and a long life by heat treating a photosensitive layer at a temp. higher than the glass transition temp. of the charge transfer material. SOLUTION: This electrophotographic photoreceptor containing at least a polymer charge transfer material as the uppermost surface layer on a conductive supporting body is used. The photosensitive layer is heat-treated at a temp. higher than the Tg (glass transition temp.) of the charge transfer material. Any means can be used for the heat treatment as far as the photoreceptor can be uniformly heated while it is shielded from light. The heating time is controlled to >=1 min, preferably >=5 min, and more preferably >=20 min. The upper limit is <=24 hours, preferably <=8 hours, and more preferably <=1 hours. The effect of the heat treatment can be confirmed by the difference in the dispersion of dynamic viscoelasticity of the charge transfer material observed in the lower temp. region than theα-dispersion. One example is shown in the figure. Thereby, since the film has extremely little wear for a long time, no abnormal image is produced.
