The method is applicable for the determination of the parameters of chipboards. By it the raw timber, respectively boards, is spectrometrically analyzed having moisture content under 10% and the spectral data are compared with reference data from reference material/boards. Control of the variables of the process affecting the parameters of the boards is also made by analyzing the material/boards, the spectral data are related in combinations with the desired parameters and are compared with the reference combinations which are calibrated by known variables by means of multivariant analysis. 20 claims
