<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent images by setting an output resolution for respective pixels corresponding to the features of the respective pixel data of image data and correcting the set output resolution corresponding to a result by a series of image processings further. SOLUTION: In the case that a pixel under consideration in the image data is at the edge of a character line, the thickness information of the character is obtained. Then, information (SNS-SL) for lowering a resolution when it is thicker and raising the resolution when it is thinner is set. Then, in the case that the density (VHI) of the pixel data after the image processing is low, the previously set resolution is corrected so as to be lowered and resolution setting information (SNSO) after correction is outputted.</p> |
