Device for treatment of bark of felled trees waiting in forest for being transported in order to prevent breeding of bark-beetle

Bark beetles lay their eggs in the bark (8) of felled trees (7) and move to live trees when hatched and mature. The device comprises of a housing (3), accommodating a drive shaft (1) with radial arranged metal sticks (2) or short chain sections (2b). The device can be joined to a chainsaw or a brush cutter (6a) and is moved along the tree trunk (7) of the felled tree. The metal sticks (2) have specifically shaped ends in order to damage the bark (8), making this area unattractive for the bark beetle and prevents it from laying its eggs. The use of chain segments (6a) results in less vibration and is more comfortable for the forestry worker.
