In addition to a cooling system (32, 34, 45) providing a cooling air flow (10, 26) around the shelves, the system comprises a collecting duct (40) for collecting air (38') heated by the components of the refrigeration system. The duct extends upwards at the back of the shelve unit, separated from the cooling air duct (26) and directs the heated air towards a deflector (44) at the top of the unit.
