PURPOSE: An apparatus is provided to display only a program information designated as a viewable program information by a user in a television receiver having violence chip(V-chip) function. CONSTITUTION: A viewable program class is input to store the class by a remote controller(S210). Class of broadcast information contained in respective programs on broadcast is detected(S220) and is stored(S240). Whether a key signal for displaying the program information is input is determined(S250). When it is determined that the key signal is input, it is determined whether the class of the step S240 and the class of Step 210 correspond to each other(S260). From the compared result, the class data of S240 is deleted when the class data of S240 does not correspond to the class data of S210(S270). When it is determined that the class data of S240 corresponds to the class data of S210, viewable lists are displayed on the screen of the television receiver(S280, S290). |
