The invention relates to an arrangement for inducing a state of anaesthesia in a living creature and maintaining the creature in that state by administering to the said creature an infused volume of liquid anaesthesia-inducing medication per unit of time, preferably during the use of one or more lung ventilation unit(s)s and one or more infusion unit(s). The arrangement comprises a basic unit ( 102 ) with control function software ( 600 a '-600 r') and one or more modular unit(s) ( 30', 30, 30 '') containing hardware for the control functions. When a modular unit ( 30 ') co-acts with the basic unit ( 102 ), it ( 30' ) activates the control functions stored in the basic unit ( 102 ). |
