PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To contribute to the solution or problems in waste water treatment and impart economical and excellent rustproofing ability to aluminum and an aluminum alloy by dissolving a polyalkyl (N-aminoalkyl)iminoalkyl}siloxane of a specific structure in a solvent. SOLUTION: The objective rustproofing agent comprises 100 pts.wt. of a polyalkyl (N-aminoalkyl)iminoalkyl}silxane (A) represented by the formula (wherein R and R' are each 2-4C alkyl; (n) is an integer of 40-500; and (m) is an integer of 1-15) and 100-1,000,000 pts.wt. of a solvent. The solvent is not particularly limited so long as it dissolve the component A, and there can be exemplified alcohols, aromatic hydrocarbons, aliphatic hydrocarbons, ketones and the like. As metals to be protected from rusting, there can be mentioned pure aluminum, and alloys of aluminum with zinc, copper, magnesium, manganese and magnesium-manganese, and their shapes can be wire, plate of foil, or various parts and structures.
