INTERNAL VOLTAGE GENERATION CIRCUIT FOR COMPENSATING EXTERNAL SUPPLY VOLTAGE

PURPOSE: An internal voltage generation circuit for compensating an external supply voltage is provided to stabilize an internal voltage by largely adjusting a voltage supplying capacity of the internal voltage generation circuit when a level of the external supply voltage. CONSTITUTION: The internal voltage generation circuit comprises: a first and second transistors(122, 124) for switching so as to supply an external supply voltage to a internal voltage generation portion(130) which generates an internal voltage; a comparator(110) for blocking the external supply voltage by comparing a reference voltage and a voltage level of the internal voltage generation portion; a supply voltage detection(160) for generating a detection signal until a low level potential of the external supply voltage become same as a reference voltage; and a logic gate(170) for controlling drive of the second transistor in response to a detection signal of the supply voltage detection portion and a signal inverting an output signal of the comparator.
