PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide excellent durability without impairing the performance during a normal travel by inserting a rubber-steel complex having a specific structure into a side wall section, and forming the filament area at a specific ratio against the cord area on a cord image via X-ray transmission. SOLUTION: An insert 8 made of a layer buried with multiple parallel steel cords in a rubber matrix is arranged in a side wall section 6, and the ratio of the filament area against the cord area of a portion with the length of 15 mm in the cord axial direction selected optionally on a cord image obtained as a plane via the X-ray transmission of the insert 8 is set to 0.45-0.95, preferably 0.50-0.90, or more preferably 0.55-0.75. Rubber easily infiltrates into the cords, this tire is excellent in durability against compression and corrosion resistance, and the adhesiveness between rubber and the steel cords is not impaired even at a high temperature.
