PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the transfer efficiency of data by updating a leading address stored in a leading address storing means by a leading address updating means in each direct memory access(DMA) operation. SOLUTION: The data transfer device is provided with a leading address storing means 27 for storing the leading address of a transfer source address and leading address updating means 28, 29 for updating the leading address stored in the means 27. Current address storing means 9, 15 are constituted so as to load the leading address stored in the means 27 and store the loaded address as a current address. Thus the leading address stored in the means 27 are updated by the updating means 28, 29 in each DMA operation. Consequently DMA transfer for the data of plural address spaces can be executed.
