摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mirror brake mechanism capable of adequately applying the brake to a mirror by making the brake of the mirror at a low temp. weaker than at an ordinary temp. SOLUTION: A rotating member 310 has a circumferential surface 312 which is connected to a gear 120C constituting a mirror drive mechanism, is constituted to rotate integrally therewith and rotates as interlocked with the oscillation of the mirror 110. A first region 314 which is large in a dimension in a diametral direction and a second region 316 which is smaller in the dimension in the diametral direction than the first region 314 is formed on this circumferential surface 312. The brake pad 320 is brought into pressurized contact with the circumferential surface 312 of the rotating member 310, by which the brake is applied to the mirror 110. The brake pad 320 is so constituted as to be displaced in a direction where the distance from the circumferential surface 312 of the rotating member 310 increases when a bimetal 338 curves rightward and to be displaced in a direction where the distance from the circumferential surface 312 of the rotating member 310 decreases when the bimetal 338 curves leftward.
