PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a leather-like sheet that has excellent antistaining properties, odor-controlling properties and dyeability and shows flexible fabric hand by impregnating ultrafine fiber nonwoven fabric made of a specific ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer with an elastic polymer. SOLUTION: An acetalized ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer of 25-70 mol.% ethylene content that contains 0.05-1.0 mol.% of sulfonic acid group or sulfonate group based the total moles of the ethylene units and the vinyl alcohol units is used to produce nonwoven fabric including fine fibers of <=0.5 denier. The resultant nonwoven fabric is impregnated with an elastomer, for example, polyurethane or the like, and raised to give a suede-like sheet covered with raised fibers of <=0.5 denier on its surface. Finally, the suede-like sheet is dyed with an indanthrene dye or cationic dye in a prescribed color tone thereby producing the objective leather-like sheet.
