SOLUTION: In a canopy device A having plural roughly arch-shaped or roughly gate-shaped awning pipes 3 to support a hood 30 to cover an article containing part 1, and form an article containing space between the hood 30 and the article containing part 1, each awning pipe 3 is freely slidably supported on a support rail provided horizontally to the article containing part 1 in the condition where its upper end part is parallel to the adjacent awning pipe 3.
