PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inspect a woven fabric without lowering the operation rate of a loom. SOLUTION: A defect presence or absence-judging means C1 outputs an mulfunction detection signal to an output circuit 39 in response to the judgment of the presence or absence. The output circuit 39 outputs the defect presence detection signal to a loom control computer Co in response to the mulfunction detection signal outputted from a reference circuit 37, and is simultaneously kept in an inspection-nullifying state. The inspection-nullifying state in the output circuit 39 means a state that the input of the inspection-nullifying state from the defect presence or absence-judging means C1 is nullified not to output the defect presence detection signal. A nullifying period-setting circuit 22 signally connected to the output circuit 39 sets a period for nullifying the inspection after the detection of the defect presence and the subsequent restart of the weaving operation.
