SOLUTION: A plurality of belt layers 7 extending toward the shoulder are embedded at the periphery of the carcass layer of a tread part, and the tread surface 1A is furnished with a main groove 8 extending in the tire circumferential direction, and in the shoulder part 1, a rib 9 is partitioned by the main groove 8. In this pneumatic radial tire for heavy duty, the rib 9 is provided with a thin groove 10 extending in the tire radial direction so that the rib 9 is partitioned into an outer rib 9A and inner rib 9B, and the two edges 9x and 9y of the outer rib 9A are chamfered into a circular arc section. |
