PURPOSE: A gap leakage reduction structure of a turbo compressor with a groove on the inner circumference of a shroud is provided to prevent the back current of the compressed gas. CONSTITUTION: A gap leakage reduction structure of a turbo compressor comprises the steps of:installing a compressing room(110) having a diffuser(11) and bolts while its sectional area becomes wider gradually to be close by the large-caliber of each impeller(200) to convert the kinetic energy of the coolant gas vented from each impeller to the pressure energy; installing the usual shroud(112) to the outer face of each impeller; and forming many compressed gas leakage preventing grooves(112a) on the inner circumference of each shrouds to prevent the coolant gas vented from the impeller to the diffuser and compressed by the centrifugal force from flowing reversely toward the inducer(220) relatively having low pressure.
