METHOD TO OPTIMIZE TOPOLOGY OF I.E.E.E. 1394 SERIAL BUS

PURPOSE: An optimization method is provided to optimize a topology of IEEE 1394 serial bus. CONSTITUTION: The optimization method comprises steps of priority assignment and port connection. In the priority assignment step, a priority is assigned to each node according to the number of ports and transmission speed. In the port connection step by the priority, a connection procedure is repeatedly performed so that each port of the nodes is connected together. In the connection procedure, an idle port of a node which is assigned as a first priority is connected to a port of a node which is assigned as a second priority.
