The knit consists of a mixed yarn containing polyacrylate fibers which release heat from the adsorption of water and vapor and knitted in an interlock or plate stitch, or a combination of these. It can be made from two types of yarn (1, 2) forming the front and back of each stitch, at least one of which contains polyacrylate fibers in a proportion of 10 per cent or more, e.g. combined with wool or cotton.
