PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a supporting body for the formation of image which uses rutile TiO2 and has high sharpness, excellent whiteness degree and productivity, by incorporating a dispersant and a specified polyolefin in which rutile TiO2 is dispersed. SOLUTION: This resin contains a dispersant and a polyolefin in which rutile TiO2 having 0.1 to 0.26μm particle size is dispersed by at least 10 wt.%. The reflecting supporting body to be used has one or more resin coating layers on a supporting body. One or more image forming layers can be formed on the water-resistant resin coating layer. The rutile TiO2 is incorporated into one or all layers of the resin coating layers. It is preferable that a resin layer containing the smallest amt. of TiO2 is formed adjacently to the paper base body. Or, as for a single layer structure, the amt. of rutile TiO2 in the resin coating layer is preferably >=10 wt.% and <50 wt.% of the resin layer. As for a multilayered structure, the rutile pigment may be added to one layer or all layers.
