PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make the number of systems of the circulation path of a decay heat removal system cooling material settable regardless of the number of systems of a primary cooling system. SOLUTION: The decay heat removal device is provided with a circulation path 21 for installing heat transfer pipes 15 (15a and 15b) in a space 22 that is the channel of the primary cooling material of an intermediate heat exchanger 1 of a fast reactor and then guiding a decay heat removal system cooling material that has reached a high temperature after cooling the primary cooling material while flowing in the heat transfer pipes 15 to air-cooling equipment 18 (18a and 18b) being installed outside the intermediate heat exchanger 1 and then circulating it to the heat transfer pipes 15. In this case, a plurality of systems of circulation paths 21 (21a and 21b) are provided and the circulation paths 21 of each system are allowed to be independent of one another.
