PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To illuminate brightly a panel throughout its entire surface without using a lot of light sources by removing a predetermined part of a reflection means arranged on the back side of a flat plate-like light guiding body on its one side a light source is arranged and forming a part of the light guiding body corresponding to the removed part into a transparent light transmission part. SOLUTION: A sheet-like light emitting device composed by installing two light guiding plates 41, 42 to sandwich a reflecting sheet 43 therebetween and cold-cathode lamp light sources 44, 45 provided with reflectors 46, 47 at both its ends is arranged on the back face of a central panel 31. A part of the reflecting sheet 43 corresponding to a reel 34 arranged behind its center is removed, and each part of the light guiding plates 41, 42 corresponding to the removed part is formed into a transparent light guiding part in the plate thickness direction. Light rays entered into the light guiding plate 41 from the light sources 44, 45 by way of light incident surfaces 41c partially reflect on reflecting surfaces 41d of the reflecting sheet 43, and irradiate printed surfaces 31c of a diffusing sheet 48, and light rays from light incident surfaces 42c irradiate the reel 34 by way of reflecting surfaces 42d and is visualized from a light transmission part through a reel display window 31a. |
