PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To secure compatibility between the conventional cell designing and the radio channel designing by setting a radio communication circuit which transmits the same signals with simultaneous use of N selected radio channels and an already working radio channel. SOLUTION: When the transmitting output of a transmitting station reaches a prescribed level, a receiving station selects N radio channels (N is an integer of 1 or more). Then a radio communication circuit is set to transmit the same signals with simultaneous use of those N selected radio channels and an already working radio channel. Under such conditions, an idle radio channel is retrieved and a proper radio channel is selected (S155). The four-branch diversity receiving is performed with simultaneous use of the retrieved idle radio channel and a radio channel that is so far used (S160). Furthermore, a mobile station measures Eb/No and IR and sets a circuit when both Eb/No and IR satisfy each necessary value (S170).
