PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To select an optimum network and to secure the connection of the network with no notification of the network information which is connected to a circuit controller by selecting an optimum path via a terminal device based on the network information. SOLUTION: The service type to which a mobile terminal 2 belong is notified to a private branch exchange (PBX) 21 in a communication zone changing mode, etc., when the terminal 2 registers its position to the PBX 21. The PBX 21 notifies the terminal 2 of the network types and network available states, i.e., 'PSTN (voice): unavailable. PSTN (data): available, ISDN (data): unavailable, quasi-public PHS (voice): available, quasi-public PHS (data): available and LAN (internet): available' as the information on the network connected to the PBX 21. Then the terminal 2 selects the optimum network (path) among those available networks and produces its connection request.
