PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the fear of a nut rotating in the loosening direction in automatic nut fastening devices of the prior art under a condition wherein torque in the fastening direction is eliminated because of spring elongation, etc. SOLUTION: An automatic nut fastening device 1 imparting torque in the direction to fasten the nut N of a bolt B and nut N that fasten structures 24, 25 together includes a rotor having an engagement hole therein for engagement with the nut N, a spiral spring 17 imparting torque to the rotor in the direction to fasten the nut N, and a ratchet 7, a stopper 21 and a torsion spring 23, for regulating rotation in the opposite direction to the direction in which the rotor is rotated by the spiral spring 17.
