PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To cut the roots of strawberries at a constant position by keeping the root-cutting blade at a constant depth, even when the ridges are uneven at their height. SOLUTION: The power of the tractor 2 is taken out and converted to the longitudinal reciprocation vibration and this vibration is transmitted to a pair of the left and right root-cutting blades 6 and the roots of strawberries are cut by the vibration of the blades. In this case, the strawberry root cutter is equipped with a pair of tail wheels 9 rolling on the top surface of the ridges between the root-cutting blades 6 and the driving wheels 20. The tractor 2 is driven to go forward, as the root cutting blades 6 are vibrated, and the blades moves into the soil at a certain depth from the ridge top face to cut the roots at a prescribed position.
