PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently generate a filling layer by a simple method at the time of idling and at the time of an incomplete load state by directly injecting fuel into a combustion chamber and reflecting fuel by a piston head. SOLUTION: A two-stroke internal combustion engine is provided with a cylinder head 31 and a piston 32 for direct injection. Combustion space is formed into a dome shape between the piston 32 and the cylinder head 31. Fuel forming an injection conical body 33 within combustion space is injected within combustion space by using an injection nozzle 15. Further, because an ignition plug 30 is in contact with the injection conical body 33, a fuel injection jet can be directly ignited and both of direct injection and direction ignition can be performed. As a result, a filling layer can be obtained by a simple method at the time of idling and an incomplete load area and extremely excellent operating smoothness in idling and the incomplete load area can be attained.
