PURPOSE:To prevent an illegally copied magnetic storage medium from being used in other terminal equipment by constituting the mechanism so that actuation of the system by a magnetic storage medium to be used by a user is enabled only from one terminal equipment whose use is determined by the user. CONSTITUTION:A magnetic storage medium is set to a terminal equipment, and a user ID is inputted. In an input user ID verification part 17, validity of the inputted user ID is checked, and when it is valid, a check digit setting part 18 generates a check digit from the number peculiar to the terminal equipment, and delivers it to a check digit writing part 19 together with the user ID. The check digit writing part 19 writes these values in the magnetic storage medium. When actuation of the system is requested after setting the magnetic storage medium to which the user ID is set, an existing user ID verification part 13 checks validity of the read-out user ID, and the check digit verification part 16 compares the read-out check digit with the check digit generated from the number peculiar to the terminal equipment, and checks their equality. |
