<p>Compounds represented by general formula (I), which have been isolated from a strain belonging to the genus Streptomyces during studies for detecting remedies for HIV infection inhibiting the activity of HIV Tat molecules and are capable of inhibiting the HIV Tat molecule activity and thus inhibiting the proliferation of HIV both in acute infection and persistent infection systems, and salts or hydrates of the same wherein R1 represents linear or branched higher (C12-18) alkyl.</p> |
