Container (1) has programmable electronic timing device (11) for activating a miniaturized device (12) for locking the door (6) in closed position, and deactivating the miniature device to return door to open position, making object (4) accessible. The electronic timer deactivates the locking device at a predetermined time to open the container. Locking device and electronic timer are powered by electric power device (13). The watch includes a main body (2) accommodating a watch mechanism or other items. Within the main body there is a housing (3) designed to receive an object (4), the housing having an opening (5) facing the outside of the container. A cover is provided for sealing the container, and this includes a miniaturized lock (12) for locking the cover in the closed position. A programmable electronic timing device is able to deactivate the lock at a preset time, so that the container may be opened on a set date or at a set time. A battery (13) is provided to power both the lock mechanism and the timing mechanism. The container may hold a small item of value.
