<p>Topical retinal formulation comprises fragile microcapsules containing retinal dispersed in a continuous gel phase. An independent claim is included for production of the formulation by preparing an aqueous gel based on Sepigel 305 (RTM: polyacrylamide, 13-14C isoparaffins and laureth-7), adding an antioxidant while optionally warming the mixture, adding a mixture of a preservative and a perfume, homogenizing the mixture, and adding the microcapsules.
