PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hollow fiber membrane which is condensed with a fat- soluble reforming material at a body fluid flow surface and is excellent in middle mol.wt. material removal performance and a hollow fiber membrane type blood dialyzer. SOLUTION: This microporous hollow fiber membrane has the body fluid flow surface contg. the fat-soluble reforming material and its sieve coefft. measured by using dextran is <=0.4 at a mol.wt. 100,000 and >=0.5 at a mol.wt. 10,000. The fat-soluble reforming agent of >=50 wt.% and <=95 wt.% of the fat-soluble reforming agent contained in the hollow fiber membrane is held at the body fluid flow surface. The hollow fiber membrane preferably consists of a base material synthetic polymer having a solubility parameterδof <=13 (cal/cm<3> )<1/2> .
