PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a game device and an information recording medium capable of selecting an automatic travel that a travel body is traveled on a course in a prescribed basic travel pattern and a manual travel that the travel body is traveled via the action of a player. SOLUTION: This game device sets a selected basic travel pattern to a vehicle, starts a race, and automatically travels the vehicle in the set basic travel pattern. The game device displays the command icon of applied travel patterns on a race screen. When an applied travel pattern is selected, the vehicle is automatically traveled in the travel pattern reflected with the selected applied travel pattern on the basic travel pattern. WhenΔa button is depressed during the race, the view point displaying the vehicle is switched in sequence. When a○button is depressed, the automatic travel is stopped, and the mode is switched to the normal mode that the vehicle is traveled via the button action of a player (steps S201-S212).
