The self ventilating tiles (A) are hung on a metal framework comprising horizontal tile support rails (B) snap fixed into vertical support members (C) secured to the wall or roof structure of a building. The tiles are generally rectangular and wedged shaped in vertical section being thinner at the bottom than the top. The thicker upper part of the tile however, is recessed at each side to receive part of the tails of two overlying tiles on the next laid course.
