<p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform rapid and accurate picking without affecting a worker by the work state of other workers. SOLUTION: Merchandise is put on a shelf and only the necessary number of pieces of the merchandise is picked from the merchandise put on the shelf. In this merchandise picking method, an electronic tag device 103 to contain merchandise discrimination information specifying the merchandise is arranged on a merchandise storage shelf 106 together with a merchandise during inputting of the merchandise. A terminal indicating a merchandise work obtains the merchandise discrimination information and its location information from the electronic tag device 103 to generate picking indication information, and the picking indication information is transmitted to a wireless portable terminal 102 carried by a worker. The worker transmits the received picking indication information from the radio portable terminal 102 to the electronic tag device 103. The electronic tag device 103 matches the picking indication information with contained merchandise discrimination information, specifies storage location for a picked merchandise and a quantity of storage and announces the information to a worker.</p> |
