摘要 <p>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas discharge method and apparatus for an ash melting furnace capable of carrying out stably operation in spite of alteration in the furnace and preventing fouling of a duct with low boiling point substances. SOLUTION: In this gas discharging method for discharging low boiling point substances together with a waste gas by installing a movable duct 18 movable up and down in a waste gas taking out port 8, which is formed in an upper part of an ash melting furnace for melting ash generated in a waste treatment facility, in a condition that the dust does not contact the port, sucking cooling air through a gap formed between the movable gas discharging duct 18 and the waste gas taking out port 8, mixing the cooling air with the waste gas containing gases of low boiling point substances to quench the gases of the low boiling point substances and solidify the gases, and discharging the solidified low boiling point substances together with the waste gas, the movable duct 18 is moved up or down to control the suction amount of the cooling air sucked through the gap and the inner pressure of the duct is adjusted by a pressure control valve 21, so that the temperature of the mixed gas of the cooling air and the waste gas is controlled to be the temperature or lower at which the gases of the low boiling point substances are solidified.</p>
