FRP PIPE SLEEVE AND ITS PRODUCTION

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sleeve light in wt., easy to handle, not lowering strength or not damaged in appearance by rusting and high in heat resistance and specific strength for equipment pipings of the walls, beams and floors of a reinforced concrete building. SOLUTION: An FRP pipe sleeve 1 of a single cylindrical pipe, a flanged single cylindrical pipe and a mutually freely slidable double-cylinder pipe is formed by impregnating a mat of glass fibers with a binder prepared by adding a curing agent 0.7-1.0 pts. to a fire retardant unsaturated polyester resin 100 pts. filled with aluminum hydroxide 140 pts. and antimony trioxide 3 pts. and molding this impregnated mat into a tubular shape to cure the same.
